Admissions

We are proud to be a school that sits at the heart of its local community, and we also warmly welcome a number of children each year who come from further afield to benefit from our nurturing environment and our commitment to offering every child the best possible start in life.  Our experienced team works hard to help every child to develop into happy, articulate, courteous members of society.

We do not place SATS at the core of what we do.  Rather, we offer a broad and balanced range of subjects, from science to sports and from geography to art and design; and in all lessons, we help children to learn how to communicate clearly and confidently.  Alongside this, we have a varied extra-curricular programme that broadens children’s horizons – ranging from gorge walking in the Lake District to attending brass band concerts, and from volunteering in our community to exploring the wildlife of the River Thames.

At the heart of everything that we do is our commitment to nurturing each and every child, and to working with their parents and families to give them a happy, successful time at primary school.
The best way to get to know a school, of course, is to visit.  We run school tours every Tuesday during term-time at 9.15am, and we are happy to arrange to show you our school at other times too.  We look forward to meeting you.

Reception

Applications to join our Reception class in September 2024 are now open.  Please apply online through the website of your local authority by Monday, 15th January 2024.  If you have any questions about the process, please do visit, telephone or email our school office; we would be delighted to help.

 Nursery

Our Nursery class offers an ideal environment for children aged three and above to learn more about themselves and about the world through play and exploration.  Our experienced, caring staff help children to enjoy being creative, curious learners, and to develop a love of learning and of language.  Please do contact Mrs Delaney in our school office to arrange to visit the school or to apply for a place.
